Where are Assam roofed turtles found?
Assam roofed turtle or the Sylhet roofed turtle is found in small numbers in the Brahmaputra river in Assam (Kaziranga and Nameri National Park). Some are found in north Bengal and the Sylhet region in Bangladesh. Adults live in fast flowing streams and rivers meanwhile the younger ones live in shallow waters.
