What does the Coorg yellow bush frog?

The Coorg yellow bush frog has a pointed snout and golden pupil with bluish-green outer ring. In the non-breeding season, they are yellowish-brown to cream in colour, having light-brown stripes. In the breeding season, males become yellow/peach in colour. 

What is special about the mating call of the Coorg yellow bush frog? 

Breeding males of the Coorg yellow bush frog start calling at dusk, first from under leaf litter. Then, they move to call from the shrubbery. They have two distinct mating calls: a long call and a short call. 

What is another name for the Coorg yellow bush frog? 

The Coorg yellow bush frog is also called the blue-eyed yellow bush frog owing to the bluish-green outer ring around their golden pupil.

Where is the Coorg yellow bush frog found? 

The Coorg yellow bush frog is endemic to the Western Ghats and is only found in the states of Karnataka and Kerala.
