Pallas's cat are found in India in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Sikkim. They are also found in Nepal, Iran, Afghanistan, Tibet, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and southern Russia.

Pallas's cat are ambush hunters - they wait for their prey outside burrows. They are poor runners and do not chase their prey, instead they stalk and capture prey by flushing them from tall vegetation/grass.
